Yes, absolutely. You can remove the included magnets and swap them for the supplied bolt kit to create a permanent installation. This setup is perfect for non-metal surfaces — like caravans, boats, or aluminium canopies — where magnets won’t hold.
It’s a great option if you want a long-term, peace-of-mind fix. Just make sure it’s installed correctly and securely. Every kit includes everything you need for either setup — no extra costs, no limits.

Outback Orbit is an independent Australian company — our mounts are not made or endorsed by Starlink. What we do offer is something Starlink doesn’t: a rugged, purpose-built solution tested in outback heat, corrugated roads, salt air, and storm winds. While using aftermarket mounts may affect Starlink’s warranty, our customers choose Outback Orbit because they need reliability in the toughest conditions, not just the standard “one-size-fits-all” hardware.

The Outback Orbit Mini Kit is engineered with a secure four-sided enclosure and industrial-strength magnets/bolts, giving you confidence even in harsh conditions. Like rooftop tents or other roof-mounted equipment, safety comes down to correct installation and common sense. Starlink itself advises their Mini dish is designed for stationary use, so for best performance, we recommend parking before setup.

Yes. The handle can be easily removed by loosening the Allen key bolts. Once off, you can store it separately or re-attach it anytime.

Each magnet holds over 25 kg vertical force — together providing more than 100 kg of holding strength. That’s enough to withstand high winds, corrugations, and rugged travel.
